Growing up, I never had much confidence. Coming from a poor family in a wealthy neighborhood, I always felt different.
On top of that, I had a face full of acne, wore thick glasses, and my hair wasn’t just long—it was wide.
Even though I skipped 8th grade, graduated second in my class, and earned full college scholarships, deep down, I still felt like I wasn’t good enough.
So when I started SuccessClinic.com from my college dorm room in 1997 with just $800 and a book on HTML, I knew confidence was something I had to build—because at the time, I had no idea how to be confident.

For example, when I started SuccessClinic.com, I had zero business experience. But I knew I wanted to share my ideas with the world.
That’s why my first-ever email newsletter in 1997 was called “You Are Enough.” Because that’s the message I knew people needed to hear.
If you don’t believe in yourself, you operate from a place of scarcity—always feeling like you’re “not enough.”

Stop people-pleasing – What others think of you is none of your business.
True confidence isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not. It’s about fully embracing who you already are.
