The #1 myth of goal setting is not as obvious as it might seem…

Yet it just doesn’t happen?
You’ve spent tons of time, money, and effort trying to be, do, or have this thing you want.
But for some reason…
You still don’t have it.
This is where we get to the #1 myth of goal setting…
And it’s NOT what you’ve been told.
The #1 myth of goal setting is that you just have to keep working hard and eventually, you’ll get what you want.
Wouldn’t that be nice if it were true?
So how then to explain when you work really hard and still don’t have the thing you want?
Let me explain.
Whenever you’re trying to change your life – for example, make more money, lose weight, find true love, etc. – you are trying to go from where you are to where you want to be.
That means, you’re trying to create a new reality for yourself.
But the funny thing is that all reality is perceived reality.
Right now, you are living in what I call your Current Perceived Reality (CPR for short).
Your CPR is everything that you are, know, and have right now.
Your CPR is your own little universe.
Now that thing you want (money, health, love, a book deal, etc.) is over there.
Because you don’t have it yet.
That’s what I call your New Desired Reality (NDR for short).
But between your CPR and your NDR, there is a gap.
Makes sense, right? You want the thing; but you don’t have it yet.
That’s what I call Your Belief Gap.
After coaching thousands of coaches, speakers, authors, healers, and mission-driven entrepreneurs, I realized that despite the fact that they were working really hard to get the things they wanted…
The truth is, they didn’t BELIEVE they could have it.
Now, the reasons for this are as individual as you are.
For example, if your parents divorced when you were young, even though you want a loving partner, you may not believe that true love is possible for you.
Or, if you were grew up in a poor family (like I did), you may strive for wealth — but your subconscious belief is, It’ll never happen for me.
Do you believe you can have what you really want?
Do Try This at Home
But don’t just take my word for it.
Test it out for yourself.
Answer these 2 questions:
1. What do you really, really want?
Go ahead and write it down.
2. Do you actually BELIEVE that you can be, do, or have that thing you want?
What was the very first thing your brain said before you shushed it?
If your answer is “no”, you have a Belief Gap.
The sad truth is, as long as you do not fully believe that you can have what you really want, you won’t be able to cross your Belief Gap.
Which means you won’t see the changes you really want in your life.
