When You Are Ready, The Universe Moves

Perfect example of how the Universe moves when you are “ready”…

I recently did a keynote speech at an event in Washington DC.

At the party following the event, I meet a woman who runs a very popular newsletter.

She asks me if I would like to submit some articles for her publication.

“Sure,” I say.

As I’m getting her contact information, I glance down and see the name of a man I met at another event that I spoke at 8 years earlier. His first name is Ted.

“Do you know Ted?” I ask her.

“Yes,” she says, and points across the room.

But I don’t see Ted.

She walks me over and introduces me to him.

But it’s not the Ted I met.

It’s Ted’s son, who is also named Ted (this man is Ted IV, his dad is Ted III).

I ask Ted IV how Ted III is doing.

“Great,” he says. “I hear your name a lot.”

“Really?” I say. “Me?”

“Yep.”

Ted IV goes on to say how Ted III often talks about hearing my presentation many years earlier, and how he often uses Afformations^®.

Cut to yesterday.

“Beep beep” (text message sound)

A text from Ted III

“I’d like to have you speak at one of our upcoming events in Dallas”

Cool

One phone call later…

I’m booked to speak at Ted III’s upcoming event in Dallas on September 13th

Wow
