Program Overview

2026 Model Districts Program
We are currently selecting 10 Model Districts across Ohio to receive a full-scale deployment of the Bold Minds, Bold Kids™ Program for the 2026 school year.

This program is delivered at zero cost to participating district budgets through private-sector Legacy Partnerships. A corporate sponsor from your local business community fully funds all materials, books, and training.
"Traditional mental health flyers don't stop the 'Silent Epidemic' of student anxiety. Students are trapped in destructive internal dialogues. This program teaches students how to install a proactive 'Cognitive Operating System' that replaces paralysis with possibility."
Selected districts provide participation and implementation support while the Lead Legacy Partner covers everything else. Your district receives books, lesson plans, and a launch assembly with no budget allocation required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your eligibility call

What does "zero cost to our district" actually mean?

It means exactly that. A corporate Legacy Partner from your local business community pays for everything: hardcover books for every K-5 student, lesson plan materials, the launch assembly, and all implementation support. No line item in your budget. No grant writing. No fundraising. The sponsor covers 100% of program costs.

Do I need board approval to take this call?

No. The 10-minute eligibility call is simply to verify your enrollment numbers and confirm your interest. You're not signing anything or committing to anything. Board involvement only becomes relevant later if you decide to move forward with implementation.

What's the catch? Why would a company pay for this?

Corporate sponsors receive brand visibility (logo on bookplates), community recognition (joint press announcement with you), and workforce development benefits (supporting families of their Ohio employees). This is a legitimate corporate social responsibility initiative, similar to how companies sponsor youth sports leagues or STEM programs. There are no hidden fees, upsells, or obligations for your district.

We already have an SEL curriculum. Why do we need this?

This program supplements your existing SEL work. The 5 scripted lessons (10-15 minutes each) drop into morning meetings or existing SEL periods with zero disruption to your current programming. Many districts use this as a Mental Health Awareness Month initiative that reinforces what you're already doing. Plus, every student gets a hardcover book to keep, which extends the learning into homes.

What if our teachers are already overwhelmed?

That's exactly why we designed this as turn-key implementation. Lessons are fully scripted. No curriculum development. No training sessions. No extra prep time. Teachers read the book aloud and follow the discussion prompts. A typical lesson takes 10-15 minutes. Many districts have counselors or interventionists deliver the content instead of classroom teachers.

Is this aligned with Ohio's SEL standards?

Yes, fully aligned. The program maps to all five competencies under Ohio's K-12 Social-Emotional Learning Standards (June 2019): Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. We provide complete alignment documentation for your board presentations.

What happens on the eligibility call?

It's a 10-minute phone call with our Director of Partnerships, Babette St. John. She'll verify your K-5 enrollment numbers, confirm your interest, and answer any questions you have. That's it. No sales pitch. No pressure. If your district qualifies and you're interested, we'll explain next steps. If not, no hard feelings.

Why are only 10 districts being selected?

This is the inaugural year of the Ohio Student Resilience Initiative. We're limiting participation to 10 Model Districts to ensure quality implementation, adequate support, and meaningful impact measurement. These founding districts will help us demonstrate results that attract additional corporate sponsors for future expansion.

What's the timeline?

Nomination deadline: April 2026. Districts that complete eligibility calls by this date will be matched with corporate sponsors in March. Books arrive in April. Statewide launch: May 1, 2026 (National Mental Health Awareness Month).

What if we're interested but the timing doesn't work?

Take the eligibility call anyway. Even if May 2026 is too soon, we can note your interest for the 2026-2027 school year. Early registration for next year gives you priority in the sponsor matching process.

Who is Dr. Noah St. John and why should we trust this program?

Dr. Noah St. John is the author of 27 books published by Hay House, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, and Mindvalley. His AFFORMATIONS® method has been endorsed by Stephen R. Covey (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) and Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul). I Ask Better Questions is the first children's book adaptation of his methodology, co-authored with his wife Babette St. John, founder of Bold Minds Bold Kids LLC, a woman-owned Ohio business dedicated to children's resilience education.

What if parents have concerns about the content?

The book teaches students to replace negative self-talk with empowering questions. There's no religious content, no political content, and no controversial material. We provide a Parent Letter Template so you can communicate exactly what the program is before books go home. The content is age-appropriate for K-5 and focuses on resilience, friendship, and positive thinking.

Can we see the book and lesson plans before committing?

Yes. You should have received a hardcover copy of I Ask Better Questions in the package we sent to your office. If you'd like to review the lesson plans before your eligibility call, let us know and we'll send them over. We want you to feel 100% comfortable with the content before moving forward.
