  1. Allan Kenyon says:

Until now I was a Noah doubter. You are for real and your ideas are brilliant.

    THANK YOU!

  2. Karl says:

Sorry, but what the f*** has fighting like this got to do with being great??? Where is the inspiration???

How shall this motivate a modern person?? …”Hey boss, me work? You eat fist!”

Being a brute. Hurting others. Pleasing dumb, brainless masses that do nothing but consume. What’s the use of it?

And here is the real kicker: it’s not a real story but mere fiction in a Hollywood motion picture. You know the real meaning of “Hollywood motion picture”?

    It’s “bread and circuses”.

What do we do, when we watch crap like this: We behave like the dumb, brainless masses in the video. We watch, and cheer and miss the opportunity to create something ourselves.

And that’s the exact opposite of inspiration, motivation and achievement.

    Want someone great?

Read about Fridjof Nansen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fridtjof_Nansen for a start) or Andrew Carnegie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Carnegie).

And even the real life of Sylvester Stalone is inspiring and worth reading about, it’s what he transformed into the Rocky speech.

Come on Noah, I know you can do better

PS: The PS in your email was great and inspiring.

    • Noah St. John says:

Thanks, Karl. I knew this video would cause controversy.

My point here was that as an entrepreneur, you’re going to face tough challenges. Life will knock you down.

The question is, will you get back up?

The point was NOT to glorify violence. The point was, do you have what it takes to be the person who gets back up after you’ve been knocked down?

      • Barb says:

Life is just what the boxer went through. Not just going after your dreams. At 65 and 46 years of marriage, there were many times I wanted to give up and just float in the water, but giving up didn’t hold a candle to fighting for my family and life. Marriage is a battle at times, but the battle is worth more than any thing I can think of.

        • Noah St. John says:

          Well said, Barb.

  3. Hi! This video shows what a strong spirit of man! Despite the decline, failure, defeat, only the strong-willed person will win in my life! Each person can overcome their fear, can rise to its own Olympus! God help us all to the Lord God!
